I pray that 2018 has been bountifully blessed for each of you thus far. As thefirst quarter of
the new year quickly comes and goes, it is imperative thatwemaintain a consistent spirit of
expectation for the awesome things ofGod that are assuredly in store for us all.
With this being thefirst issue of 2018, Iwould like to briefly focus on theChurch ofGod in
Christ theme for 2018 - “TheChurchSeasoning theWorld” (Matthew 5:13-16) - and admon-
ish you to truly concentrate onmaking a difference in the lives of others. Ifwe collectively
purpose ourselves to illuminate the dark places, imagine themagnificent potential to impact
our communities, the nation and even theworld. I pray thatwewould allmake a genuine,
concerted effort to implementMatthew 5:13-16 on a daily basis in 2018, andmake a tangible
differencewithin each of our spheres of influence.
Additionally, Iwould like to expressmy excitement for the upcoming
IAM 2018Campaign
taking place inMemphis,April 2-5, 2018. I am elated towork alongsideAFSCME for this
critically important event thatwillmark the 50th year anniversary ofDr.MartinLutherKing’s
Mountaintop speech at the historicMasonTemple, COGIC’sworld headquarters
I am confident that this first 2018 issue ofTheWholeTruthwill greatly inspire you in amean-
ingful and perceptibleway. That youwould be blessed and encouraged today ismy prayer.
