111thHolyConvocation
The 111thHolyConvocationwill convene in the city of St. Louis,Missouri once again
in 2018. The convocation opensMondaywith 24 hours of prayer, led byMother Fran-
cesKelley and the International PrayerTeam, where healing, deliverance andmiracles
arewitnessed. Themorning services begin at 7:45 am, with anointed prayers at theG.E.
PattersonMorningManna, followed by theO.T. Jones, Sr. Institute. The purpose of the
institute is to equip and empower the delegates forministry. Some of theworkshops,
events, activities and services at theHolyConvocation include: TheService of Episcopal
Consecration and Installation;YoungPeopleWillingWorkers (YPWW); Prayer ofHeal-
ing andDeliverance; the Installation of Bishops;HolyCommunion; Thursday is dedicat-
ed toMissionswithPresidentVincentMathews; Friday is theWomen’sDayObservance,
officiated byGeneral SupervisorBarbaraMcCooLewis and theMen’sDayObservance,
facilitated bySuperintendentMichael B. Golden, Jr.; the InternationalYouth&Young
Adult Church; theSunshineBand andPurity class; the highly-anticipatedMorningGems
by thePresidingBishop’s dynamic, graciouswife - LadyMaeLawrenceBlake;World
YouthDayService and theChaplaincyHonorsVeterans.
EarlySundaymorning, with 500 teachers, BishopAltonGatlinwill officiate the largest
SundaySchool class in theworld. The InternationalMusicDepartment, under the direc-
tion of InternationalMinister ofMusic, Dr. JudithMcAllister, sets the atmosphere for
worship by presenting dailymusic, including the ever popular, late-nightMusical Extrav-
aganza. The InternationalDepartment of Evangelism, under President ElijahHankerson
III, chairs the electrifying “Revival Fire”withElect LadyDorindaClark-Cole. OnSun-
day, theOfficialDaymessage is presented byHisEminence, PresidingBishopCharles
E. Blake, Sr. The convocation concludeswith the general assembly of delegates. To learn
